Cookies
Last updated 2 July 2026
This page explains the cookies and browser storage the Tapcord service (tapcord.app) uses. The short version: we use only what’s needed to run the service and remember your own preferences.
Tapcord sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don’t profile you, and we don’t share your browsing with third parties for advertising.
Why there’s no cookie banner
Consent banners exist for non-essential cookies (analytics, ads, tracking). Because everything we set is strictly necessary or functional, there is nothing non-essential to consent to — so you won’t see a cookie banner here.
What we store
| Name | Kind | Purpose | Category | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth cookies (sb-…-auth-token) | Cookie | Keep you signed in to your account across page loads. | Strictly necessary | Session / until you sign out |
| tapcord:install-dismissed | Local storage | Remember that you dismissed the “Add to home screen” install prompt, so we don’t nag you. | Functional | Until you clear site data |
| tapcord:consent | Local storage | Record your cookie choices, if and when we ever add non-essential cookies. Unused today. | Functional | Until you clear site data |
| tapcord:cart | Local storage | Hold the tag kit in your basket while you shop — added when the shop launches. | Functional | Until checkout or you clear site data |
If that ever changes
If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie or tracker, we commit to asking for your consent first: it will be off by default, you’ll be able to opt in (and back out) freely, and we’ll update this page to list it before it runs. Necessary cookies will always work without consent because the service can’t function without them.
Managing storage
You can clear or block cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary items may sign you out or stop parts of the service working. Questions? Email hello@tapcord.app.
